Wife Rosemary passed away in 2002:

Rosemary B. Jellison, 73, died Saturday, Dec. 14, 2002, at her home after an illness.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17, at the First Presbyterian Church, Florence, where she has been a loyal member. The Rev. Roger Gulick and Tom Kellam will preside.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday evening at Waters-Powell Funeral Home, 400 S. Dargan St.

Mrs. Jellison, a resident of Florence for 20 years, was born in Berne, Ind. She was a graduate Registered Nurse from the Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing, Ft. Wayne, Ind. Her professional career lasted more than 40 years including 12 years with Bruce Hospital in Florence.

In retirement, she continued to be active in the field of medicine becoming an early member of Mercy Medicine, serving on the Board of Directors for several years. She also did volunteer work at the Florence Manna House.

Surviving are her husband, William; two daughters, Katherine Patrick and Susan Zerby; a son, Thomas Jellison; and three grandchildren, Elisa Huber, Brian Hensley and Derek Jellison.

The family requests any memorials be directed to Mercy Medicine, 201 E. Elm St., Florence, SC 29506; or to Hospice of the Pee Dee, 555 E. Cheves St., Florence, SC 29506.

Born in Fort Wayne to Robert A. Jr. & Beatrice L. (Gerard) Jellison. They divorced & Beatrice married Max Bennett. Married June 7, 1952 in Berne, Indiana.
