Mr. Lloyd Jack Stough, 83, passed away Friday [March 11, 2011] at Homewood Health Campus in Lebanon, Indiana. He was born in Princeton, Indiana, the son of Lloyd John and Della May (Reese) Stough.

Jack was married in the First Presbyterian Church in Lebanon, Indiana, to Nancy Jo (Kashner) Stough on February 19, 1955. Mrs. Stough died on December 3, 2010.

Mr. Stough was a 1945 graduate of Columbia City High School. After graduation, he joined the United States Navy and was honorably discharged in 1946. He attended Indiana University and then received an Associate Degree in business from International College in Fort Wayne. Jack felt that education was very important and received addition al training from the University of New York and the University of Texas.

Jack worked for Marathon Oil Company in several locations, including Bedford, Bloomington, Indianapolis, Ft. Wayne, and Muncie. While in Muncie, Jack became the district manager for Marathon Oil Company. For a few years he served in the Indiana State Department of Commerce under Lt. Governor Robert Orr. Most recently he was the executive director of the Indiana Oil Marketers Association for 10 years, and then worked in real estate development.

Jack was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed is family and grandchildren. He had varied interests that included golf, fishing, and spending time with his friends. Jack had many friends that her enjoyed as he was active in the community and activities. The family moved to Boone County in the 1970s and had resided in the Mechanicsburg and Lebanon communities.

Mr. Stough was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Lebanon; the Ulen Country Club; the Rotary Club of Lebanon; the Amercian Legion; the Elks Club of Lebanon; the Masonic Lodge; the Scottish Rite; and Indianapolis Murat Shrine.

He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Meg Miller and husband, David, of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania; two sons, Mr. Kent Karl Stough and wife, Nancy, of Laytonsville, Maryland, and Mr. Lloyd Blake Stough and wife, Bernadette of Bozeman, Montanna; three grandchildren, Kyle Stough, Kassidy Stough, and Blake Miller; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Elaine Helfrich; a sister-in-law, Virginia Rose Beatty; and a brother-in-law, Robert Kashner.

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 3-7 p.m. at Myers Mortuary,, 1502 North Lebanon St., Lebanon, Indiana.
Memorial services and military rites will be held to celebrate is life on Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Myers Chapel of Memories, 1502 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon, with Chaplain David Clayton officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
