Notes:	Gloria Jeane Miller, of Columbia City, Indiana, died at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at Miller’s at Oak Pointe, Columbia City where she had been a resident for the past week. She was born August 13, 1930 in Allen County, Indiana, a daughter of the late Lushen A. and Laura B. (Baker) Lopshire. Her formative years were spent in Waynedale. She graduated from Columbia City High School in 1948. On April 16, 1949 she was united in marriage to Roger G. Miller. They made their home on a farm in Columbia Twp. Mr. Miller died December 30, 1997. For the past two years Gloria has been a resident of Columbia City. A full-time homemaker, she assisted her husband with their farm. She enjoyed flower gardening, crochet and is fondly remembered as a good cook. She loved her children and grandchildren and was known for her calm and gentle demeanor. She is survived by her two daughters, Pamela K. (Kevin) Myers, Pierceton and Sara L. (Mike) Clem-Nave, Auburn; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Additionally, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Joe P. Miller; a daughter, Cynthia Sue Miller; a brother, Russell Thomas Lopshire and a son-in-law, Bobby Clem. The funeral service is 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City. Burial is in the South Whitley Cemetery. Visitation is 1 p.m. until the service Sunday at the funeral home. Preferred memorials are to Heartland Hospice or the March of Dimes.
