Notes:	Patricia C. Mettler, 77, 9572 W. 700 South, Claypool, passed away Wednesday [February 15, 2012] at her residence. Born June 30, 1934, in Columbia City, she was the daughter of Earl M. and Catherine M. (Clemmons) Knisely. On Dec. 24, 1955, in Fort Wayne, she was married to James L. Mettler, and he preceded her in death on March 14, 2000. Pat was a homemaker. She graduated from Columbia City High School in 1952. She lived in this area for 40 years, moving from Fort Wayne. Pat was a member of the Eagles Lodge of Warsaw and the Women of the Moose of Plymouth. She enjoyed gardening, canning, crocheting, birds, cats, fishing, and her dog. She also loved to spoil her grandchildren. Survivors include her daughter, Juanita and husband Thomas "Bomber" Wickey, of Grand Rapids, Mich.; two sons, Jeffery Mettler Sr., of Billings, Mont., and Jeffery and wife Tera Mettler Jr., of Etna Green; six grandchildren, Amanda and Peter Wickey, and Christopher, Patrick, Keelie and Joselyn Mettler; one great-grandson, Jaden Mettler; and one brother, Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Knisely, of Warrenton, N.C. She was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Mettler; and one sister, Sharon. Services are at 3 p.m. Saturday at King Memorial Home, 101 N. Tucker St., Mentone, with Rev. Amber Karkosky-Litten officiating. Burial will take place in Mentone Cemetery, Mentone. Visitation is from noon-3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Welfare League of Kosciusko County, 3489 E. 100 South, Pierceton, IN 46562.
