Carol Ann Meyer Lyons died peacefully in Fairfax, Virginia on February 23, 2016.

Carole was born October 4, 1936 in Columbia City, Indiana and later moved to Washington DC to work with the NRA. Carole started her family and remained a resident of Fairfax for 50 years.

Carole was gracious, independent, selfless, dependable, funny, sometimes a prankster, a lover of the outdoors, bird watching, skiing, sailing, tennis, golf, and all activities participated in by her children and grandchildren. We will never forget her loyalty, devotion and generosity to her family.

Beloved wife for 55 years of Michael; mother of Michael Dennis, Terrence Daniel (Susan), Kenneth Thomas (Valerie), Christopher Francis (Marianne); grandmother of Max, Kyle, Cydney, Shannon, Hannah, Liam, Benjamin, Riley, Connor, and Erika. Sister of the late Charity Hancock and survived by sister Lana Meyer, and brother Terrence Meyer.

A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 1, at the Fairfax Memorial Funeral Home at 9902 Braddock Rd., Fairfax, VA on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the reception to be held at Brion's Grille in Fairfax VA. The Lyons family will host a memorial Mass celebrating Carole's life at 11 A.M. on March 2 at St Clare of Assisi Church, Clifton, VA, followed by an interment at Fairfax Memorial Park, adjacent to the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association (alz.org).

Husband Michael passed away November 26, 2023.
