Notes:	Rolland B. Gipson, 75, of Ossian, died at 10:45 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at his daughter's home in Ossian where he had been living since October 2011. He was born July 7, 1937 in Litchfield, Illinois a son of Carl R. and Gladys (Kettlekamp) Gipson. His formative years were spent in Whitley County. He graduated from Columbia City High School. On August 12, 1966 he married Patricia Collinsworth. They have always made their home in Whitley County. He was employed 25 years at American Hoist & Derrick in Fort Wayne and retired from No Sag in Kendallville in 1999 with 15 years of service. His membership included Eagles Lodge #1906. Surviving relatives include his wife, Patricia; a daughter, Diana (Teed) Rush of Ossian; a son, Bryan A. Gipson of Churubusco; a step son, Paul Evard of Columbia City; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a brother, Carl L. Gipson of Rome City. He was preceded in death by two sons, Mark W. Gipson and Darian L. Gipson. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City. The burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. The visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Preferred memorials may be directed to Diana Rush for Hospice supplies.
