Later married Dean Willard (divorced). They had one daughter Jamie A. Friend (Wheeler) (Bellville,MI).

Died of brain cancer October 2002. Obituary in Post & Mail October 9, 10 & 14, 2002, Pg 2. Buried Christian Chapel Cemetery, Merriam, IN.
