Notes:

NORMA JEAN KEPPLER, 72, of Fort Wayne, passed away Monday, May 19, 2014 at Golden Years Homestead Nursing Home. Born May 28, 1941 in Whit-ley County, Ind., she was the daughter of Isaac Franklin "Frank" and Clara Elizabeth (Murphy) Overholser.

Norma worked at Essex for many years and later in her life she was a caregiver to some very special people before suffering a stroke which left her partially paralized.

She enjoyed reading, doing her puzzles and her family while she resided at Golden Years Homestead.

Even with life's challenges and Norma's greatest disappointments, she was an example of dignity and grace. She touched the lives of many people and showed what true courage and friendship was. She always had a smile and less than a month after the passing of her sister, Shirley, Norma passed into the loving arms of our Lord. Her memory will always live in our hearts. "Norma will be lovingly remembered by her family."

Surviving are her three grandchildren, Taylor Nicole, Morgan and Nicholas Kuenning of Heideberg, Germany which she adored to the day that she passed; one estranged daughter, Theresa K. "Terri" (Robert) Kuenning of Heideberg, Germany; also surviving are her sister, Sharon (Richard) Brundige of Goodyear, Ariz.; and sister-in law, Connie (Tim) Overholser Denihan of Whitley County, Ind.; also many nephews and nieces that were special in her life, Robert L. (Sandra) Tonkel Jr. of Leo, Ind., Steve Jeffers of Wabash, Ind., Lisa (Scott) Harris of Newburgh, Ind., Layn Spaw of Fort Wayne, Dalen Spaw of Fort Wayne, and Sonia Tonkel Whitfield of Stockbridge, Ga. She was preceded in death by her parents; ex-husband, Ron Keppler, sisters, Joann Helen Tonkel Harmon, and Shirley Ann Jeffers; and brother, Roger Overholser.

Memorial service is 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at Golden Years Chapel, 3136 Goeglein Road with calling one hour prior. Pastor Kelly Byrd officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that memorial donations may be given to Golden Years Homestead or Blackhawk Ministries of Fort Wayne.
