Notes:	DAWN JEANNE SHANNON, 76, of Fort Wayne [Indiana], passed away on Wednesday, March 10, 2021, at her home. Born in Columbia City on Jan. 27, 1945, she is a daughter of the late Gene and Margaret (Wunder) Quinn. She graduated from Columbia City High School in 1963. Dawn was married to Harold R. Shannon Jr., in Fort Wayne, on Feb. 10, 1973. He preceded her in death on May 6, 2018. She was a caregiver through Anthony Wayne Services for over 20 years, and she raised her granddaughter, Heather, making sure she knew how loved she was everyday. She lived for her family, especially her children and grandchildren. Dawn is survived by three sons, Joe (Stacy Simons) Shannon, Michael (Becky) Shannon and Bart (Therese) Byerley; a daughter, Kristina Bennington; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Susan (Eron) Cooper; and brother, Gene (Karen) Quinn. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Jamie Sue Byerley, grandson, Blake Bennington; and sister, Julie Kissinger. Memorial service is 3 p.m. Monday, March 15, 2021, at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, 206 North Main St., Churubusco, where the family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Memorials may be directed to Riley Hospital for Children.
