Notes:	Obituary in the Fort Wayne Newspapers on 10/18/2007: DONALD PAUL BROXON, 61, of Colonial Heights,Va., formerly of Roanoke, died Monday, Oct. 15, 2007, while playing basketball, the game he so dearly loved. He was the son of the late Paul and Rosemary Broxon and was preceded in death by a sister, Becky. Don was a proud alum of Indiana University. He retired in 2003 from the McGuire Veterans Administration Medical Center where he 'herded cats' as Patient Safety Officer and Risk Manager. He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, intelligence, love of history and books, and pride as a Hoosier. He is survived by his loving partner, Harriett Shuck; two sons, Daniel Jason (Charlotte) Broxon and John Merrill Broxon; granddaughter, Anna Broxon; brothers, Robert and James Broxon; and sisters, Jane Wasmuth and Mary Kline. Memorial service is 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel of the Veterans Administration Medical Center, 1201 Broad Rock Boulevard, Richmond, Va. Interment will follow at a later date in Broxon Cemetery, Whitley County, Ind. The family wishes to thank all of Don's loving friends for their support. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the Indiana University Basketball Scholarship Fund. Checks payable to I.U. Foundation and mailed to I.U.
