Notes:	Lydia L. Fisher, age 55, of Fort Wayne, IN died at 7:32 a.m. Friday, August 17, 2007 at Parkview North Hospital, Fort Wayne. She was born in Fort Wayne, IN on September 26, 1951, the daughter of Paul and Norma V. (Comer) Herron. She spent her lifetime in Allen and Whitley Counties. She graduated from Columbia City High School with the Class of 1969. On September 10, 1988, she was united in marriage to Maynard Fisher at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne, IN. She worked for Acosta Food Sales and Marketing Company based out of Indianapolis, IN. Her memberships include Hope Lutheran Church, Columbia City, IN. She loved to sew, golf, travel and boat. Survivors include her husband of 18 years, Maynard Fisher, Fort Wayne, IN; parents, Paul and Norma V. Herron, Columbia City, IN; 2 brothers, David (Debra) Herron and James (Kathaleen) Herron, both of Columbia City; 1 sister, Sarah "Sally" (Stan) Smith, Chugiak, AK; 4 step children, Angela Strahan, Waynedale, IN, Jack Fisher, Warsaw, IN, Jerry Fisher, Fort Wayne, IN and Patrick Fisher, Fort Wayne, IN; 13 step grandchildren and 13 step great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her sister, Mary Herron. Visitation is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, August 19, 2007 at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, Columbia City, IN. Funeral service is 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 20, 2007 at the funeral home with Pastor Judy Follis of Hope Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Covington Road, Fort Wayne, IN. Memorial gifts may be given in Mrs. Fisher's memory to American Cancer Society or Pat Dyer Memorial Fund, to be mailed c/o 5th 3rd Bank, 720 East Dupont Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46825. All funds received will be used to assist cancer patients with special needs. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
