Served in U.S. Navy after attending IPFW. Stationed in San Diego, CA. for four years (including tour of duty to Vietnam). Played in the U.S. Navy Show Band West.

Married (36 years) with three boys, Andrew, Adam, and Sean and two grandsons, Ethan and Carter.

Hobbies include music: singing in barbershop quartet (Chordially Yours) and barbershop chorus (The Fun Center Chordsmen), woodworking, swimming, rollerblading, and travel.
