Notes:	Mark E. Macy, 56, of Etna Troy Township, Whitley County, died at 8:05 p.m. Friday, June 22, 2012 at his home. He had been in failing health since March. He was born July 17, 1955 in Wolf Lake, Indiana a son of Thomas O. and Viola M. Burns. His formative years were spent in Thorncreek Township. He graduated from Columbia City Joint High School in 1973. On December 21, 1974 he was united in marriage to Kathy Jeanette Ellison. They made their home in Columbia City for six months, then moving to Etna Troy Township. Mrs. Macy died June 7, 1978. A farmer, he began his employment with Weatherhead in the mid 1970s, retiring from Dana in Syracuse in 2007. On April 11, 1981 he was united in marriage to Carol L. Hibbs. They have always made their home in Etna Troy Township. He enjoyed auctions, hauling scrap and International tractors. Surviving relatives include his wife, Carol; two children, Dawn N. Macy and Adam L. (Adrienne) Macy; three grandchildren, Quintin Macy, Braiden & Madison Macy; his parents, Tom & Viola Macy, all of Columbia City; a brother, Kevin (Julie) Macy of Plainfield; and his in-laws, Orlo & Josephine Hibbs of Columbia City. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City. The burial will be in Keister Section of Scott Cemetery. The visitation will be from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the family.
