Notes:	Dennis Ray Gaff, 67, of Columbia City, died peacefully in the company of family at 10:08 a.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at Parkview Randallia, Fort Wayne. Born on June 21, 1955, at Whitley County Memorial Hospital, Columbia City, Indiana, he was a son of the late Alpheus Ray Gaff and Nora Alice (Murphy) Gaff. Growing up in Columbia City, he completed Marshall Memorial and graduated from Columbia City Joint High School in 1974. He began his work career at Chamberlain Products, South Whitley, and then Essex Wire, Columbia City. In 1977, he went to work for Dana Corporation, Fort Wayne, retiring in 2008. He enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle and turtle hunting and fishing at the area lakes. Surviving is his son, Gunner Gaff of Columbia City; his life partner, Phyllis Bueker of Columbia City; a brother, Tommy (Karen) Gaff of Columbia City and a sister, Debbie Schnitz of Warsaw. Dennis's wishes were not to have any services. Arrangements are in the care of Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City. Memorials in Dennis’s honor are to the Humane Society of Whitley County or the Impact Center Food Pantry, Columbia City.
