Charles 'Chuck' E. Roy, 44
May 18, 1958 - March 27, 2003

Charles "Chuck" E. Roy, 44, died Thursday morning, March 27, 2003 at St. Joseph Hospital in Belton, Mo.

Born on May 18, 1958 in Anderson, he was a son of Ernest and Gertrude (Klesh) Roy. In 1965, his family moved to Columbia City where he graduated from the Columbia City High School in 1976.

After completing his education, he began his employment with United Technologies Corporation in Columbia City. In 1995, he moved to Kansas City where he was employed by the American Screw Products Company, currently serving as plant manager.

On June 13, 1981, he was united in marriage to Martha Jane McCoy and they made their home in Union Township, Whitley County until moving to Belton.

He was a member of the Catholic Church in Belton, a life member of Ducks Unlimited and formerly served as the chairman of the Whitley County Chapter.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Jane; a son, Bradley Roy; three daughters, Rachael Roy, Brooke Roy and Emily Roy all of Belton; his father, Ernie Roy of Columbia City; two brothers Michael Roy and John Roy both of Columbia City and a sister, Ellen (Michael) Jagger of Columbia City.

His mother, Trudy Roy, preceded him in death in 1990.

The funeral mass is at 11 am Wednesday, April 2, at St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church in Columbia City with Father Dale Bauman as officiant. Burial is at the Catholic Cemetery. Visitation is from 2 to 4 p.m and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Smith and Sons Funeral Home in Columbia City and one hour prior to mass at the church on Wednesday.

For those who wish, memorials may be made to the Charles Roy Children's College Fund in-care-of the Bank of Belton, Belton, Mo
