Notes:

Tammy (Miller) Fisher, 54, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away surrounded by family and friends, Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017 at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, Ohio. She was born June 15, 1962, in Fort Wayne, the daughter of Wilma (Kerch) Miller, of Columbia City, and the late Amos J. Miller.

She was a special education teacher. She began her teaching career in Indianapolis for 10 years, and then moved to Greenville, Ohio, and taught at Greenville City Schools for the next 20 years. She was a graduate of Columbia City High School, received her bachelor's degree at Ball State University and her master's degree at Indiana/Purdue University.

Tammy was one of the most gracious and genuine people around, and her spirit of generosity had no equal. She was a loving, caring soul, who was patient, kind and always putting others before herself. She was devoted to her family, and she treasured her roles as mother, teacher and friend. In her spare time she was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling, being near the water and caring for her pets.

She is survived by her mother; daughter, Sarah (Karlin) Ross; son, Colin S. Fisher; sisters, Trudy (Curt) Miller-Longhenry and Julie (David) Casner; five nieces and nephews; and one great-niece.
She was preceded in death by her father; grandparents; and infant brother, Scott Allan Miller.

Services will be held Saturday, Feb. 11 at 3 p.m. at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio, with Pastor Brian Reifsnider officiating. Family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a college fund for Colin Fisher in care of Sarah Fisher. Condolences for the family may be expressed through www.zecharbailey.com.
