Tammy Lynn Horne, age 51, of Columbia City passed away at 5:27p.m. on Saturday December 6, 2014 at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born on February 26, 1963 in Mount Sterling, KY, she was the daughter of George and Rebecca (Banks) Crump.

Tammy moved to Columbia City at the age of 7, making it her permanent home. She attended Columbia City Schools and graduated from Columbia City Joint High School with the Class of 1981. She then attended Indiana Business College.

On June 9, 1984 Tammy married William Horne at St Paul of the Cross Catholic Church in Columbia City. She was an assistant manager at Weatherhead Credit Union, where she worked for 14 years.

Tammy was always delightfully optimistic and enjoyed making people happy with her positive attitude. She was an avid Kentucky Wildcat and Indianapolis Colts fan. She also loved the Christmas time of years and having family get-togethers and was known as "Mama Horne" to the Lady Eagles soccer team.

Survivors include her loving husband of 30 years William "Bill" Horne of Columbia City; daughters Abigail Denise and Emily Anne Horne; parents George and Rebecca Crump; brother Rick (Riza) Crump of Columbia City; sister Melinda Crump; and father and mother-in-law William and Sheila Horney all of Columbia City. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by paternal grandparents Amos and Lillie Crump and maternal grandparents Charles and Mattie Lou Banks.

Visitation will be on Thursday December 11,2014 from 2-8 p.m. at DeMoney-Grimes, a Life Story Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. A reciting of the rosary will take place at 7:30 p.m. A mass of Christian burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday December 12, 2014 at St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church 315 South Line Street Columbia City.

Memorial contributions may be made in Tammy's memory to St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church or to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
