Notes:	Ronald Alan Brown, age 70, of South Whitley, Ind. passed away at 10:43 a.m. at his home on Thursday, April 28, 2011. Born December 27, 1940 in Rankin, Ill., he was the son of Lester and Ruth Bernice (Harvey) Brown. He graduated from Columbia City High School with the Class of 1959. He lived in Whitley County most of his lifetime where he was a general farmer in Washington Township. For a brief time he lived in the Auburn and North Manchester areas. For 27 years, he worked as a truck driver for Central Steel & Wire. He also worked as an excavator in the Auburn area. He was a member of Teamsters Union Local 414. Survivors include his son, Jim (Harriet) Brown; daughters, Julie A. Brown, Joyce (Terry) Hull and Jennifer Hodges all of Columbia City; 10 grandchildren; brothers, Danny "Buzzy" (Sue) Brown of Auburn and David (Jenny) Brown of Butler; sisters, Alyce (David) Uguccioni of Brooklyn, Mich. and Diane (Abdela) Sarhane of Nashville, Tenn. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Dean, Dale and Duane Brown. Visitation is Monday, May 2, 2011 from 12 - 2 p.m. with the funeral service immediately following calling at 2 p.m. at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Randy L. Grimes, Certified Funeral Celebrant will officiate. Burial will follow at Eberhard Cemetery, Columbia City. Memorial gifts may be given in Mr. Brown's memory to the American Diabetes Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
