Judson A. Hiscutt, 85, of Richmond [Minnesota], formerly of New Port Richey, FL, died Friday, January 18, 2019, at Cherrywood Senior Living in Richmond. His funeral service will be 2:30 pm Wednesday, January 23, 2019, at the Johnson Funeral Home in Paynesville. A visitation will be held from 2-2:30 pm on Wednesday before the service.

Judson Alvin Hiscutt was born February 6, 1933, in Columbia City, IN, the son of Joey and Edith (Gilbert) Hiscutt. He received his education in Columbia City. After High School Judd enlisted in the United States Air Force. Where he served his county for 26 years before retiring.

On May 22, 1955, Judd was united in marriage to Dorothy Gruver in Columbia City, IN. This union was blessed with two daughters and a son. The family made their home in New Port Richey, FL.

After serving in the Air Force Judd owned and operated an appliance repair business. He then went back to school where he earned his Associate Degree in Human Services from Pasco-Hernando Community College. Judd then became a social worker for the State of Florida.

When Dorothy became ill Judd retired and became her full-time caregiver. In 2008 Dorothy died. They shared in 53 years before Dorothy's death. In 2014 Judd moved to Minnesota to be closer to his daughter.

Judd loved the outdoors. You could often find him sitting in a lawn chair just enjoying the sunshine, walking along nature trails or riding his motorcycle. Judd was a wonderful husband and father, he loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.

Judson A. Hiscutt died on January 18, 2019, at the age of 85. He is survived by his daughters, Stacy (Mark) Hayden of Las Vegas, NV, and Kelly (Jim) Pritchett, of Paynesville, MN, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Judd was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy; son, Zack; three brothers; and three sisters.

NOTE: Will be buried in Florida National Cemetery, Section 605, next to his wife Dorothy H. Gruver Hiscutt in Bushnell, Florida.
