Notes:	Robert “Bob” Eugene Maley, age 65, of Columbia City, IN, passed away at 6:00 pm on Thursday December 30, 2021, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. Born on December 2, 1956, in Chicago, IL, he was the son of Leo and Mary Ann (Jacob) Maley. Bob attended several township elementary schools in Columbia City, then attended De La Salle Institute, Chicago and graduated with the Class of 1974. Bob was a truck driver for several companies in the surrounding area for all of his working career. He loved watching any type of sports and was an avid Chicago Bears, Bulls, and Blackhawks fan. Bob also enjoyed playing cards and spending time with his family. Survivors include his daughter April (Scott) Pyter; granddaughter Kendall Pyter; sister Karen Goodwin; uncle Kenneth Maley; aunt Georgia “Louise” Maley; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings Jack Leininger, Patrick Maley, Leon Maley Sr., and Beverly Maley. Friends may call on Friday January 7, 2022, from 3:00-7:00 pm at DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday January 8, 2022, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery, Pierceton. Memorial contributions in memory of Bob may be made to Whitley County Transit.
