died Sunday at Regency Place Nursing Home.

Born in Angola, he had worked as office manager and bookkeeper at Ernst Plumbing and Heating for 15 years. He then worked at Somers Bakery, as a desk clerk at the YMCA and as a house parent for Fort Wayne Lifeline Homes. He had also been a parking lot attendant for Knight Parking Co.

Surviving are two aunts, Marcella Beck of Angola and Eleanor Slaymaker of Michigan; and several cousins.

Services at noon Wednesday at Smith and Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City. Calling one hour before services. Burial in South Park Cemetery, near Columbia City. Memorials to Gideons International.
