of Columbia City, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Born April 2, 1949 on his family's farm in Jefferson Township of Whitley County, he was the son of Herbert and Anna (Maas) Alles.

He attended Jefferson Township School and graduated from Columbia City Joint High School with the Class of 1967. Upon graduation, Frank began working at General Electric before joining the U.S. Navy. After being honorably discharged, he went back to work at GE. When the Fort Wayne plant closed, Frank retired with over 38 years of service.

On November 8, 1974, he married Mary Jo Haggenjos at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fort Wayne. He was a member of St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church and enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and taking care of his property.

Frank is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Mary Jo Alles; daughter, Angela Alles; son and daughter-in-law, Jared and Colleen Alles; grandchildren, John, Claire and Caitlyn Alles; brothers, Ted (Becky) Alles, Larry (Pat) Alles and Douglas Alles; sisters, Beverly Rectenwald, Renee (Tony) Reid and Julie (Sam) Landis; numerous nieces and nephews; and Alyssa St. Georges, Andrea, Kirsten, Lylah and Jessanna who he also loved. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Marilyn Krom.

Visitation will be 2 to 7 pm, Thursday, November 17, 2022 at DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 am Friday at St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church, 315 S Line St, Columbia City with visitation one hour prior. Father Jose Arroyo will be officiating. Burial to follow at St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be given in his memory to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana. ">
