On June 10, 1995 in the Zion Lutheran Church, Ft. Wayne, she married Ralph E. Headrick who survives.

She was a 1985 graduate of Columbia City Joint High School, Columbia City and attended William Penn University, Oskaloosa, Iowa.

Tracey was employed as a teacher's aide at Redeemer Lutheran School where she also served as the resource teacher and the girl's basketball and volleyball coach. She had previously coached soccer for the Kokomo Soccer Club.

She was a member of Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer. Tracey will be remembered by her family and numerous friends as a loving and devoted mother, wife and a true friend.

She found joy in caring for and loving her friends and putting their needs first. She set a loving example for her friends and family to follow. She enjoyed caring for her plants and making her house a home for her family.

Survivors include her husband, Ralph E. Headrick of Kokomo; her beloved daughter, Olivia G. Headrick, at home; a step-son, Anthony Thomas Headrick of Fort Wayne; her parents, Bill & Patricia Shanks of Columbia City, four siblings, Tina M. (Shanks) Cummings of Fort Wayne, Todd A. Shanks of Columbia City, Tamara L. Shanks of Clermont, Fla., Timothy R. Shanks of Fort Wayne; one aunt, Debra K. Busche of Fort Wayne; two uncles, Arden M. Shanks of Hicksville, Ohio, Fredrick M.R. Busche of Florida; two sisters-in-law, Alice W. Brown of New Haven, Patricia E. Panyda of California; two brothers-in-law, Ronald L. Headrick and Eugene Robert Headrick, both of Fort Wayne and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In Kokomo, funeral services celebrating Tracey's life will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer, 705 Southway Blvd. East, with Pastors William Allison and Barry Akers officiating.
Friends are invited to call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the church and one hour prior to the service on Thursday.

In Fort Wayne, a committal service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday in Covington Memorial Gardens & Cemetery, 8408 Covington Rd. Burial will follow.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Howard County Humane Society.
