Notes:

9-13-2007: After attending Wabash College for two years, left to join the USMC where I learned many useful things including electonics for helicopters. After my three years in the Marines, I took a job with Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford,Connecticut. After three years with pressure from my (now ex-wife) wife, I departed a perfectly good career to return to Florida.

Worked at odd jobs(beer salesman, TV repairman, and dishwasher repairman) before signing up with Southern Bell Tel & Tel. Co. Worked up from lineman apprentice to Toll test boardman working on microwave transmission systems. Worked with SBT&T for 16 1/2 years.

In the span from the Marine Corps-end of my "Bell" days managed to help raise four children, improve my education, divorce a wife, and to find/re-unite and marry my childhood girlfriend Judy Hallenbeck. With this prize, we united three more children and stayed in Florida for five more years.

Due to health problems of Judy's parents, plus the Space program cutbacks causing a probable move away from the Cape Kennedy area, we left and relocated to Michigan. Started a new career in Coldwater,MI with the General Telephone & Electronics Co. Worked up from Installer-Repairman to Cable Splicer in the next 17 years.

Retired early(at 56) and relocated to the Grand Marais, Michigan area. Un-retired from boredom and started a local newspaper as Co-Editor, Owner with Judy. Worked a year with some locals before turning the fine newspaper (Grand Marais Gazette) over and help Judy set up an antique shop. We still dabble with our Apple Tree Antiques & Gifts, but on a greatly reduced effort.

We have wintered in Floida, then in South Carolina, and finally now in the Angola,IN area. We plan on spending six months from May-October in the Grand Marais,MI area and the rest in Angola,IN. Our children and grandchildren are spread over the country from Florida, Alabama, Indiana, and Michigan. Only have five children, twelve grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren but they all keep us busy.

This stage in life I spend reading & writing mostly poetry and novels and enjoying watching football games. Judy still spends a lot of her time counseling and teaching.
