Sharon Lou Mitchell, 71, of Lake City, Fla., passed away Friday, March 20, 2015 at Shands at the University of Florida Hospital in Gainesville, Fla. She was born and raised in Columbia City. She had lived in Lake City for the past 16 years having moved from Columbia City.

Mrs. Mitchell previously worked as a beautician and was a member of the Circle Cross Cowboy Church in Ellisville, Fla.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Howard and Charlotte Jones.

Survivors include her husband, Roger Mitchell, Lake City, Fla.; two sons, Randy Mitchell (Teresa), Sneedville, Tenn. and Troy Osburn (Rosemary), Lake City, Fla.; one daughter, Terri Howard, Fort White, Fla.; three sisters, Pat McArthur, Lake City, Fla., Donna Harl, Columbia City, and Joy Brouse (Larry), New Lake; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Clarice Mitchell (Elsie), Warsaw; six grandchildren, Kayla, Ailleen, Brittney, Morgan, Derek and Tyler; and two great-grandchildren, Travis and Jaycee.

A celebration of life service will be held at the family home Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Zack Douglas officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Lake City, Fla.
