Notes:	Lisa A. Bowers, 62, of Fort Wayne and formerly of Churubusco, died at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Parkview Regional Medical Center. She was born August 18, 1953 in Columbia City, Indiana a daughter of David B. and Garnet E. (Walker) Diffendarfer. Her formative years were spent in the Columbia City area. She graduated from Columbia City Joint High School. On September 17, 1983 she was united in marriage to Max L. "Mick" Bowers Jr. In December 1985 they moved to their home west of Churubusco. Mr. Bowers died September 16, 2014. A homemaker, she also worked at Seyferts, Weight Watchers for over 20 years serving as area manager and lastly a nail technician at Paris Design Associates for over 10 years. She was attending Pathway Community Church. Surviving relatives include four children, Amy (Mark) Taylor, David (Angela) Herbst, Scott (Shannon) Bowers and Brian (Roberta) Bowers, all of Fort Wayne; 17 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; her father, David Diffendarfer of Columbia City; a brother, Stephen (Karen) Diffendarfer of Leesburg; and a sister-in-law, Marsha (Milt) Grabner of Columbia City. Her mother preceded her in death. The casual funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City with visitation from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The entombment will be at a later date at Riverview Cemetery, Churubusco. Preferred memorials are to American Heart Association.
