Notes:	Mark Eugene Miller, 67, of Fort Wayne, died peacefully in the company of family at his home at 7: 49 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2023. Born on October 31, 1955, in Columbia City, Indiana, he was a son of the late Ronald E. and Mary Kathryn (Hathaway) Miller. He completed South Whitley Elementary School and then moving to Columbia City, he graduated from Columbia City Joint High School in 1974. He continued his education at California State University, Hayward, California. He began his work career with Pacific Bell, later becoming AT&T. Excelling at technology, he became a trainer for the company’s visual communication products traveling worldwide training clients on the system. In 2005, he went to work for Flexible Funding, LLC, San Francisco, becoming the Director of Underwriting. He retired in 2020. A multitalented person, he played the guitar and was a self-taught piano player. He enjoyed photography and mounted and framed many of his exceptional photos. He collected books and traveled extensively through Europe. After retiring to Fort Wayne, he liked bicycling, taking nature walks, and landscaping around his home. One of his proudest achievements was serving as the President of the Bay Area AA program touching many lives. Surviving are his siblings, Virginia Butz of Fort Wayne, Lucia M. (Everette) Sroufe of South Whitley, and Michael W. Miller of Paulding, OH, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Gloria Bassett. A private family visitation will be held at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City, with burial to follow at the St John Lutheran Church Cemetery. Memorials in Mark’s honor are to St John Lutheran Church, Columbia City, or Stillwater Hospice, Fort Wayne.
