Obituary in Post & Mail September 8, 1989, Pg. 2. A memorial service was held, so he may have been cremated.

Wife's 2017 obituary:

Nancy Margaret Hull Waterfall died on January 15, 2017 at her home in Indian Wells. She was born in Angola, Indiana, on May 1, 1919, the second of the four children of Seymour Perry Hull and Dorothy Rakestraw.

Nancy attended Indiana University where she met Frank Waterfall (nicknamed "Warpy"), joining his jazz band as a vocalist. She was a talented singer, played the piano very well by ear, and later recalled that she "always sang in tune, and came in right despite the difficulty of the arrangements".

She and Frank were married in 1941 in Bloomington. Frank's war responsibilities took them to Washington, D.C. and then to St. Paul, Minnesota where Frank attended graduate school and taught physics and mathematics. After the war Frank began selling electronic instruments and the couple lived in Dayton, Ohio, and then Wilmette, Illinois.

In 1959 Frank became Midwest manager of Hewlett Packard Company, enabling Frank to immerse himself in the thrilling science and business world of HP, and Nancy to create her dream house in Winnetka, Illinois. They were members of Sunset Ridge Country Club, played golf, and continued to enjoy Frank's wonderful jazz clarinet playing.

After Frank's retirement in the late 60's, they moved to Palm Desert and Indian Wells, where they were members of Eldorado Country Club and Nancy was a volunteer at Eisenhower Medical Center.

After Frank's death in 1999, Nancy was active in the Presbyterian Church and particularly supportive of its music programs. In addition to her lifelong passion for music, Nancy's sense of style and love of life were a delight to everyone around her.

She is survived by an entire family of musicians - her daughters, Susan and Linda Waterfall, Susan's husband Allan Pollack, and Nancy's grandson, Julian Waterfall Pollack. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to the Mendocino Music Festival, P. O. Box 1808, Mendocino, CA 95460, or Shelter From the Storm, 73-550 Alessandro Dr., Palm Desert, CA 92260.">
