Notes:	Edison D. Line, 75, of Columbia City, died Friday evening, July 30, 2010 at his home. He had been in failing health. He was born January 15, 1935 in Whitley County, Indiana a son of Harley L. and Goldie I. (Sell) Line. His formative years were spent in Columbia City. He graduated from Columbia City High School. On June 4, 1955 he was united in marriage to Nancy L. Deutsch. They made their home in Columbia City before moved to Crooked Lake. In 1969 they moved to Washington Township until 1985 when they moved to their present home in Columbia Township. Mrs. Line died August 20, 2009. He served in the United States Army from 1959 until his honorable discharge in 1961. In 1995 he retired from General Electric with over 30 years of service. He attended Oak Grove Church of God, was a former Jaycee and a former member of Columbia City Lions Club. Surviving relatives include two sons, Darin Line of Berne and Mark (Rhonda) Line of Crown Point; and five grandchildren, Doug Line, Amanda Line, Austin Line, Collin Raiser and Luke Raiser. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by two infant sons, Michael Duane Line and Craig Alan Line; and two brothers, Kenneth L. Line and Gerald E. Line. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City. The burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. The visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Preferred memorials are to Oak Grove Church of God or Humane Society of Whitley County.
