Notes:	Huntington Herald-Press (IN) - Thursday, January 10, 2008 Betty L . Adkins, 66, Huntington, died Monday (Jan. 7, 2008) at her home. Mrs. Adkins was retired from Bendix. She was a member of the American Legion and Eagles Lodge 823, both in Huntington, and a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2689. She graduated from high school in Columbia City. She was born Jan. 28, 1941, in Columbia City, to Richard and Leona Brandt Taylor. Survivors include two sons, Monty Taylor and Marvin Adkins, both of Andrews, and a stepson, Harold Lee Adkins of Hamilton, Ohio; two daughters, Kelly Taylor of Huntington and Tinna Huffman of Van Buren; three grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren, and one great-grandson. Mrs. Adkins donated her body to Indiana University for medical research. There are no calling hours. A memorial service will be held later. Memorial gifts may be made to the American Cancer Society.
