Notes:

E. Lynn Wilkinson, 67, of Kennebunk, Maine, died Friday, Nov. 25, 2011, at his residence in Kennebunk. He was born Dec. 4, 1943, in Sturgis, Mich., the only child of Ellis Chester Wilkinson and Lillian "Bernice" Brown.

Following a stay in Monroe, Mich. thru the end of World War II, the family returned to the general area of Whitley County, where he graduated from Columbia City Joint High School with the class of 1962.

He received an associate's degree in accounting from International Jr. College in 1964, a Bachelor of Arts in business administration from the University of St. Francis in 1971, and a master's degree in business administration from Indiana University's Fort Wayne campus in 1974. He also attained the professional designations, CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CMA (Certified Management Accountant), and CIA (Certified Internal Auditor).

His 44-year financial career included 14 years with General Telephone Company of Indiana, Inc. in a number of financial positions, culminating in Director of Internal Auditing, 10 years in the chief financial position with Titeflex Corporation in Springfield, Mass., and 12 years as Vice President-Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Omega Flex, Inc. in Exton, Pa., a company he helped take public and from which he retired in 2008.

He also taught upper-level accounting and auditing courses in the evening divisions of both the University of Saint Francis and Indiana University where he was associate professor.

Recognizing one to always be on center stage and in the limelight in the corporate environment, he treasured his non-work time in the peace and solitude of his home. He was an avid and accomplished genealogist and historian, and was extremely proud that his paternal great-great-grandparents were very early settlers of Whitley and Noble counties, while his maternal great-great-grandparents were very early settlers of LaGrange County, four of them coming directly from Lincolnshire, England.

Surviving relatives include his wife, May E. Brunton whom he married in 1999, a daughter, Dr. Jody Ann (Dr. Ric A. Romero) Wilkinson and two grandchildren, Abigail J. Romero and Caleb R. Romero, all of Tucson, Ariz.

Arrangements were in the care of Bibber Memorial Chapel, Kennebunk.
