Ashtin Michael Geiger, age 20, of Columbia City, IN, passed away on Wednesday October 4, 2023, in Nashville, TN. Born on September 23, 2003, in Fort Wayne, he was the son of Christopher and Shellie (Losure) Geiger.

Ashtin attended Columbia City High School and graduated with the Class of 2022. He worked as a cook for several years at Bob Evans and was training to be an assistant manager. Ashtin was very detail oriented and enjoyed detailing cars on the side. He had a very kindhearted caring personality and loved to make others laugh. In addition to fishing and spending time with his Beagle Bentley, Ashtin was big into technology and had recently gotten a DJ soundboard and lighting setup.

Survivors include his parents Christopher Geiger of Columbia City and Shellie (Carey) Coney of Albion; siblings Logan (Lilian) Geiger of Wawaka, IN and Abby Geiger of Fort Wayne; step-sisters Macy Coney and Taylor Coney, both of Ligonier; grandparents Marty Leffler and Tamra Reece, both of Gas City and David Losure of New Port Richey, FL; aunts Stacy (Mike) Alford of New Port Richey, FL, Kimberly Porter of Columbia City, Roxy Schroeder of Oakland, CA, and Paula Denbow of Memphis, TN; uncles Lloyd (Shelly) Geiger and David (Jane) Geiger, both of Fort Wayne; and uncle to Briar and Remington.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Price and Bernadine Reimer.

Friends may call on Thursday October 12, 2023, from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City.

Funeral services for Ashtin will be held at 10:00 am on Friday October 13, 2023, at the funeral home, with calling one hour prior to service.

Burial in St. Matthew’s Cemetery, Columbia City, at a later date.

Memorial contributions in memory of Ashtin may be made to Whitley County Humane Society.
